Application procedure
Exchange students must first be selected by their home university.
Once selected, the home institution must send a nomination by email to: international@lille.archi.fr, including:
- Name
- Email address
- Level of study
- Duration of the exchange
The ENSAPL International Relations Office will then contact nominated students directly to confirm admission and provide registration details.
Nomination deadlines :
- Full year / Autumn semester: 15 May
- Spring semester: 15 November

Course access depends on the student’s academic background.
Students are enrolled in either architecture or landscape and do not follow both programmes.
Welcome and integration
Welcome week
At the beginning of each semester, students can take part in an intensive French language course (20 hours over five half-days), free of charge.
A welcome programme is also organised, including:
- Introduction to courses and assistance with course selection
- Campus tour
- Cultural visit of the Lille metropolitan area
French as a Foreign Language (FLE)
French courses are offered throughout the semester, free of charge :
- as an intensive course in September (welcome week)
- and as weekly classes throughout the semester
Semester 1 – key dates (2025–2026):
- Placement test: Monday 1 September (08:30–11:45)
- Intensive course: 2–5 September
- Additional placement sessions: 16, 18 and 19 September
Regular courses (semester-long):
- Tuesday morning: 10:15–12:30
- Thursday morning: 10:15–12:30
- Friday afternoon: 13:15–16:30
Course groups depend on level and sufficient enrolment.

Accomodation:
ENSAPL does not provide student housing for international exchange students.
The International Relations Office can assist students in finding accommodation in Lille.

Students from the European Union
Please bring a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
Students from outside the European Union
You are strongly advised to take out health insurance in your home country before departure.
