The evening continues under the stars on the terrace with Pierre Leguillon’s La Promesse de l’architecture. Produced at the initiative of CAPC, Musée d’Art contemporain de Bordeaux, La Promesse de l’architecture was first projected at the Maison Lemoine in Floirac, designed by Rem Koolhaas, in 2009. It is a part of the project La promesse de l’ecran, a moving, site-specific installation and an ongoing series of films that the artist believes are « dedicated to the peripheral. » La Promesse de l’architecture incorporates dozens of sequences that were either shot in monuments worthy of attention, or that remarkably describe architecture. An imaginary city unfolds on the screen in which architects are at once Michalengelo Antonioni, Jacques Tati, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Oscar Niemeyer, Jean-Luc Godard, Fritz Lang, Bertrand Blier, Man Ray, and Frank Lloyd Wright.
